Evergreen Elementary
Hello, I am Danielle Hockman, the art teacher at Evergreen Elementary School. I have been teaching elementary art for 22 years. I began my professional career teaching grades K-8 in the Philadelphia School District before having the honor of joining the art department in the Perkiomen Valley School District in 2003. My educational background includes a B.S. in Art Education from Kutztown University and an M.S. in Education from Arcadia University with a specialized concentration in Art. I truly enjoy being creative on all levels but I enjoy oil painting and working with chalk pastels when I can create artwork of my own. As an art teacher, I feel I have the role of encouraging and inspiring creativity and self-expression. I want my students to realize that art is all around us. It is how we look at the world and how we express ourselves. We just have to be open to seeing it.
