Hundreds of maze-like alleys and bridges connect the neighborhoods and communal squares of Venice. Take in all the hustle and bustle going on at sea level as people, equipment, and supplies navigate the Grand Canal.
Florence: The Accademia Gallery will expose students to masterpieces by Renaissance luminaries such as Michelangelo and Botticelli. They will marvel at Florence Cathedral’s grandeur and experience the charm of local leather craftsmen and painters. Participate in a fresco art workshop Try your hand at fresco painting, a style made famous during the Italian Renaissance. In this workshop, you’ll create a fresco of your own traditionally, by painting onto fresh plaster. Get true hands-on experience with Tuscan cuisine as you are trained in the art by a local chef. Learn to make traditional antipastos, a primo piatto, a secondo piatto, and a dessert. Be sure to take notes as you learn before sampling your sumptuous creations!
